Jolanda Soons-Dings

Sustainability Program Manager at Lamb Weston / Meijer vof

 

Jolanda Soons-Dings holds a master degree in animal science from Wageningen University. She started her career in 1990 within the food industry, managing Quality Assurance, Food Safety and Regulatory Affairs at European level. First in the meat processing industry (1990-2001) followed by the potato processing industry (2001-2011). In 2011 she took up the responsibility, within Lamb Weston / Meijer (LW/M), to develop a companywide sustainability strategy and program towards 2020 and currently leads the LW/M sustainability program in Europe.

She represents LW/M as content matter expert in different committees within EUPPA (European Potato Processors’ Association) and within FDE on behalf of EUPPA. Since 2013 she is the chair of the EUPPA Sustainability Committee and leads the development of the sustainability agenda for the EU potato processing sector, established working priorities for non-competitive areas and developed position statements on key priorities like ‘food loss and waste’ and sustainable use of water.

Jolanda demonstrated competences in managing quality assurance, food safety, nutrition & health, regulatory affairs, crisis management, change management, employee engagement, intrapreneurship, business strategy development, sustainability strategy development and sustainability architecture, GRI-G4 sustainability reporting, communications and external affairs.
