Tine Delva

Policy Advisor at the Secretariat-General of the European Commission in charge of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals

 

Tine Delva works in the economic department of the Secretariat-General of the European Commission, which is responsible for the overall coherence of the Commission’s work – both in shaping and coordinating policies. As policy advisor, Tine is contributing to the work of the European Commission in areas such as economic governance and the EU follow-up to the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Before Tine entered the European Commission, she was a cabinet member of two Members of the European Parliament and was also active on European energy affairs for the Belgian federal government, including representation in the Council of the European Union. Tine has an academic background in economics, complemented with European affairs. She is co-author of the book “The functioning of Europe, after Lisbon” (2010, in Dutch).
